Interesting read. While I agree Wenger got mixed up in things United, and should have been minding his own arse nal, I did respect his attempt to instil his brand of total football into our game. But the Dutch style(total footy), employed what you could call enforcement, in the way some of the previous arse sides used to conduct their business when things were not going their way. Thats football. Some of blame must go towards the London centric press, who go on ad nauseum, about performances, though very good, only garnered 3 points. While we 'dirty norven bastards' had a magnetic effect on a wide selection of trophies scratching away with our uncultered style of play.
Chelsea on the other hand would strangle the game of any beauty, rather like the functional and bland fare dished up by our Lancashire neighbours selfpitypool. Their game withered when they changed the back pass rule. So that's the difference between the Londoners for me. Chelsea quite pleasingly for me, are pointing the way for our God fearing ,small time, but wealthy, lottery winning neighbours. If they don't win everything to be won in the next two seasons, the bluegoons will disappear quicker than any of teams mentioned here. Rivals like that really make me cringe. Oh for the days when the city fans were funny on purpose.

When are these gobs on sticks gonner shut up ? Better still, when are the broadcasters going to give us the choice, yes the choice, to either listen, or not listen to the bollux they pour out ? A small button on the remote control should do the trick. The Ajax rendition of Bobs classic was well worth hearing tho'. Should nick that one. I'm sure HRH Pete Boyle could make it fit. We've pinched worse. Happy with performance, considering rustiness of personnel on show. With Valencia out for a spell, we will need every one to be ready. Heads down and run boys, we can do this.

I agree Oli, only a dickhead would say he's a shit keeper. He's a fine shot stopper who could turn into a great keeper. His most obvious weakness is from crosses and corners, if he manges to learn how to assert himself in HIS penalty area, we could have a great keeper on our hands. We all know that when you turn up at Old Trafford, you've got to be on top of your game from pretty much day one, with only a small margin for error. Old Trafford has been a graveyard for some established, experienced and excellent goalkeepers. Jim Leighton and Fabian Barthez immediately spring to mind. I hope it dosen't happen to him as he's obviously got potential, however, I'd have Lindergaard as first choice for the time being.

Ron,

The owners have obviously intervened and ordered Dalglish and Suarez to grit their teeth and apologise. I love the way it's all shaping up. Liverpool as a club are in a complete mess, long live King Kenny

No Phil, they are trying every which way not to aplogise to Evra. Long may it continue for two reasons, first because it shows to the whole world that Liverpool are standing behind a player who three/four months on still see no wrong in what he says and secondly, it's too late for an apology to be anything other than an empty and hollow gesture now. The club sponsors are on their back now and the owners in Boston are coming to terms with the fact that the team's being managed by a manager who's out of his time, out of his depth and too iconic a figure to the clubs fans to sack without there being an uprising.

Thought De Gea looked more confident on saturday, great save at the end seeing how it swerved to the left of him. Two games now he has pulled of points saving saves at the end of games. Sure the press wont mention that if he makes another mistake
